My goodness! It has been so long since I wrote a post. Not that I have been THAT busy the past month, but somewhat. I had been preparing for a November visit from the Grands and enjoying the perfect Autumn weather we have had.. Although the leaf color change was a bit weird this year, in the end it was gorgeous! Most of the leaves had fallen by the time we had frosty weather. But what remained on the trees made an awesome late show of color.
We needed to clear another garden spot and made some great fires. The spot we cleared was full of what we call Devil Weed and Honeysuckle vines. The Devil Weed had turned into small trees with big thorns on them. I taught Jacob and Casey how to make Honeysuckle vine wreaths by weaving in and out. They took a lot more interest in it than I thought! Jacob was making them up until the day they left.

| A big fire |
Since my last blog, we have had a houseful of family and friends. Our oldest son Michael, leaves out today, and we will be back to just the three of us. We had the Grandchildren here for 9 days. Boy, did the house get quiet when they left last Saturday evening! We did all sorts of things while they were here. Our second son, Joshua loves to build fires and we enjoyed some wonderful evenings together sitting around the warm fire and laughing and talking. The kids roasted marshmallows for s'mores.
Casey wanted to walk the "real" dogs, but they do not do well on a leash, so she settled for good ole Scooby Doo!

Looks like a lot of fun. I love cleaning things up in the fall and burning and so do my grandkids. Looks like you had quite a feast for Thanksgiving!
I bet your house does sound quiet now!
You had the best Thanksgiving, the kind where everyone is home, there are family favorites for each one! Glad you posted, so I could say "hi".
The worst bit is when they leave; I have to wait another 7 months before I see my grandsons again....
You've reminded me; it's almost time for my big annual bonfire.
Great pics of the grands and your Thanksgiving spread looks awesome! Wish I had a big plate with a little bit of everything on that table, right now. :)
